About this file
The document is a Standard Form LLL (Disclosure of Lobbying Activities) related to the City of Gainesville's procurement of fareboxes for cutaway vehicles for the Regional Transit System (RTS). The form is designed to disclose lobbying activities pursuant to 31 U.S.C. 1352, requiring entities to report any payments made to influence federal actions. The City of Gainesville intends to acquire twenty-five (25) stanchion-mounted fareboxes for E450 Paratransit Vans, with the procurement process involving detailed reporting of any lobbying efforts associated with this federal action.
The form provides a template for reporting the type of federal action (in this case, a contract), the status of the action, and details about the reporting entity. While the specific lobbying details are not filled out in this instance, the form mandates disclosure of any payments made to influence federal, congressional, or agency officials in connection with the contract. Failure to file the required disclosure can result in civil penalties ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 for each such failure. The form is part of the transparency requirements in federal contracting, ensuring that any attempts to influence the procurement process are publicly documented.
