The specified pump must deliver 3,200 gallons per minute with a maximum head of 300 feet and be constructed from heavy-duty 65-46-12 ductile iron capable of passing 3-inch solids without damage. The equipment includes a liquid-cooled, turbo-charged, 4-cylinder diesel engine with a minimum of 149 horsepower, Tier 4 emissions compliance, a 110-gallon fuel tank, and a 12-volt electrical system with alternator, regulator, and maintenance-free battery.

The pump package includes comprehensive hose assemblies consisting of two 8-inch by 10-foot suction hoses, four 8-inch by 50-foot suction hoses, four 8-inch by 50-foot lay-flat discharge hoses, two 8-inch by 150-foot outtake hoses, a metal strainer, four elbows, and all necessary fittings and gaskets. The unit must be towable with a 3-inch pintle hitch, dual axle with four tires, and lighting and safety equipment compliant with Illinois Vehicle Code requirements, including a 7-way SAE/ATA approved connector. The pump must be capable of operating continuously for a minimum of 8 hours. This represents a one-time bid for parts and labor for the complete removal and replacement project.
