About this file

This document is a Data Item Description (DID) for the Government Property (GP) Inventory Report, numbered DI-MGMT-80441D and approved on June 9, 2020. The DID is applicable to all Department of Defense (DoD) contracts involving government-furnished property (GFP) or contractor-acquired property (CAP). It specifies a standardized electronic reporting format (.xls or .xlsx) for documenting government property inventory, requiring contractors to provide detailed information about each asset, including contract number, asset identification numbers, item description, manufacturer details, quantity, location, property type, and classification.

The report must include specific data fields such as National Stock Number, unit of measure, unit acquisition cost, unique item identifier (for GFP), asset location, and federal condition code. The document supersedes the previous version (DI-MGMT-80441C) and is designed to enable DoD services and agencies to maintain comprehensive tracking of government property across contracts and subcontractors. The preparing activity is MDA, with a project number of MGMT-2020-012, and the document carries an AMSC Number of 10184.
