About this file
This is a bidders response form and pricing sheet for the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services' invitation for bid (IFB) regarding on-call maintenance and repairs for gas school liquified natural gas (LNG) and liquified propane gas (LPG) above-ground storage tanks, training props, equipment, and related infrastructure. The contract is structured as a three-year engagement with service periods running from October 1 through September 30 for each respective year (2026-2027, 2027-2028, and 2028-2029). Bidders must provide pricing for annual preventative maintenance on a lump sum basis, as-needed repairs at straight time hourly rates (estimated at 150 hours annually), premium overtime rates (estimated at 24 hours annually), and emergency call-in services (estimated at 24 hours annually). Bidders are also required to submit supporting documentation including a five-year history of similar work with references, a company qualifications statement not to exceed three pages, and a disclosure of any contracts assessed liquidated damages or termination for non-performance over the past three years.
Bidders must provide specific dollar amounts for the annual preventative maintenance lump sum rate and hourly rates for straight time, premium overtime, and emergency call-in services. The pricing sheet requires bidders to apply percentage markups to an estimated $50,000 in parts and supplies costs and an estimated $50,000 in subcontractor costs, with markups to be clearly identified on the form. Permits and other necessary administrative fees shall be invoiced at the contractor's actual cost without markup. Bidders must define their normal hours of operation for straight time rate calculations and provide a grand total for all three contract years. The completed pricing information must match the Form for General Bid as specified in the Instructions to Bidders document.
