About this file
This file is a web page from the Utah Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM), a state agency responsible for overseeing construction management, facilities management, and real estate services for state-owned and state-leased facilities. The DFCM Construction Management team oversees development and remodeling of state facilities, procurement of contractors and consultants, project management, and building official responsibilities. The related state and local contract opportunity concerns the Midway Fish Hatchery Waterhead Well Refurbishment project (solicitation number 20324520), which involves refurbishing one waterhead well and two production wells located in Midway, Utah. The procurement is structured as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) with a base bid and two additive alternate options for refurbishing Production Well #1 and Production Well #2, with a total construction estimate of $407,000. Electronic bids were due by August 9, 2019, at 3:00 PM MDT and could be submitted through SciQuest or via email to dfcmcontracts@utah.gov. Bidders were required to submit a comprehensive bid package including a subcontractors list, bid bond, and completed bid schedule. The project contact was Jed Egbert from DFCM, reachable at 801-597-5945 or aegbert@utah.gov.
Bidders were required to possess a valid contractor's license and were expected to review two existing addendums associated with the solicitation. The bid evaluation was to be based on completeness of submission, compliance with licensing requirements, and ability to perform the specified well refurbishment work. The file does not specify explicit set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises, nor does it identify any incumbent vendors for this project. Standard state procurement practices typically encourage diverse vendor participation. No specific funding source or renewal options are detailed in the available documentation.
