Questions and answers as a results of inquires.
Q: Please advise if this solicitation has detailed drawings or a TDP available to review?
A: See amendment 2 for drawings of the tank and the skid Q: You are requesting a drag skid for a vertical tank?
A: Yes, please see amendment 2 for drawings of the skid and a description. The skids will be welded onto the tanks vertically to assist in transporting the tanks. Their dual purpose is to provide a flat surface for point of contact with the trailer so there is no “rolling” of the tank, and to provide “sled runners” for easy tail-rolling of the tanks on and off of the trailer. By having the loading “ears” located at the top of the skid, the winch line is attached to these points for holding the tank in place, and easy tail-rolling the tank off of the trailer in the correct, upright position.
Q: When looking at the API 650 12F specifications there is no provisions for vertical skids. Is there going to be a drawing issued so that we have some idea as to what we are bidding?
A: See answer above Q: Are these skids being used to transport the tank in a horizontal position?
A: See above answer Q: If so, are there axels and tires that need to be provided.
A: See above answer Q: I could not find in the solicitation the required delivery time and where the tanks are to be shipped to?
A: Please see amendment 2 for required delivery date and delivery location.
