The existing gravel roof, original to the building's construction dates, will be replaced with either a Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) roof system or a FiberTite roof system. Interested firms must submit a Letter of Interest not exceeding ten single-sided pages or five double-sided pages, a current Standard Form 254 (SF-254), and North Carolina licensing information via e-submissions only. Submissions should follow State Building Commission specifications and be formatted as 8.5" x 11" pages stapled in the upper left-hand corner, without binders or additional binding materials.

Proposing firms must hold active professional licenses in Architecture, Engineering, or Landscape Architecture from the State of North Carolina. The selection committee will evaluate qualifications based on specialized expertise in roof replacement projects, past performance on similar work, staff adequacy and proposed design team composition, current workload and awarded state projects, design approach methodology, recent experience with project costs and schedules, construction administration capabilities, geographic proximity and familiarity with the project location, record of successfully completed projects without significant legal or technical issues, and other appropriate factors. Additional information regarding North Carolina licensing requirements and the SF-254 template can be obtained through the respective state licensing boards and the State Building Commission website.
