About this file
This is a Design Build Project Advertisement issued by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) and Department of Corrections for a Propane Plant Replacement project located at the Alger Correctional Facility in Munising, Michigan. The project involves restoring the existing propane plant to full functionality, including replacing the propane blending system, gas piping, and electrical connections to meet current safety codes. A mandatory walk-through inspection is scheduled for August 9, 2018, at 11:00 am, and bids are due on August 22, 2018, at 2:00 pm local time. Contractors must submit a LEIN (Law Enforcement Information Network) request five business days prior to the walk-through meeting, and only one representative per bidder is permitted to attend.
The project requires compliance with federal and state agency codes and regulations, including EPA, OSHA, DOT, LARA, DOC, DEQ, and MIOSHA standards. Bid security of 5% is required, and bidders can obtain project documents and bid results through the SIGMA Michigan website. Questions will be accepted until 5 pm local time, 7 calendar days before the bid due date. The project director is Tom Pawlowski, who can be contacted at (517) 242-0973 or pawlowskit@michigan.gov for additional information. The NIGP codes provided suggest the project involves facility maintenance, repair, and construction-related services.
