About this file
This document is a Request for Quotes (RFQ) issued by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) for the annual service of a vacuum pump and compressor system located at the MassDEP Wall Experiment Station in Lawrence, MA. The RFQ is being solicited under the Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Contract TRD04 for Pump Services and Compressor Services. MassDEP is seeking quotes from vendors on the TRD04 contract to provide labor, supervision, equipment, transportation, and materials required to service the vacuum pump and compressor system. The RFQ includes a detailed project description, timeline, and instructions for vendors to submit quotes, with a site visit scheduled for May 8, 2024, vendor questions due by May 9, 2024, and vendor responses due by May 13, 2024. The contract will be awarded to the best value respondent, with a preference given to participants in the Commonwealth's Small Business Purchasing Program (SBPP) if they meet the best value criteria.
The RFQ specifies that the vendor will not charge the awarding authority more than 7% over the actual cost of materials and special equipment required. It also notes that any additional parts or services outside of the defined scope will require a separate proposal and approval from the awarding authority. The prevailing wage rate applies to this project, and the vendor is responsible for the disposal of all hazardous waste and non-hazardous construction debris in accordance with government, state, and federal policies and regulations.
