About this file

This document outlines delivery requirements for food products to a Bureau of Prisons (BOP) facility. All deliveries must be palletized unless prior warehouse arrangements are made. Temperature control requirements are strictly enforced: non-frozen perishable foods must arrive between 34°F and 40°F, canned goods above 34°F and not frozen, and frozen foods at 0°F or below. Products showing evidence of prior thawing will be refused immediately.

All certified religious diet items, specifically Kosher products, must bear the Kosher Symbol on individual packages and comply with BOP National Menu Specifications, or they will be rejected. The facility reserves the right to conduct close inspection of all items, including thawing and cooking items to verify specification compliance. Receipt of delivery may be conditional for up to three days to allow adequate examination and testing, with non-compliant items subject to refusal. Vendors are responsible for picking up rejected items at their own expense within two days of notification. Any products not retrieved within two weeks will be disposed of by warehouse staff.
