About this file
The document is a Delivery Requirements specification for a federal contract opportunity involving quarterly dairy products for the Federal Correctional Complex Hazelton in West Virginia. The requirements outline precise temperature and handling standards for food deliveries, including: palletized shipments, specific temperature ranges for non-frozen (34-40°F), canned (above 34°F), and frozen (0°F or below) foods, and strict religious dietary compliance with Kosher symbols.
Additional delivery stipulations include comprehensive inspection protocols, a three-day conditional receipt period for testing, and vendor responsibilities for unacceptable products. Vendors must pick up refused items within two days of notification, and if not retrieved within two weeks, warehouse staff will dispose of the products. The contract requires adherence to BOP National Menu Specifications, with any products showing signs of prior thawing or failing to meet specifications being automatically refused.
