About this file
The document is a Delivery Requirements specification detailing precise guidelines for food product deliveries to the Federal Correctional Complex Hazelton. The requirements cover temperature controls for different food types, including non-frozen perishables (34-40 degrees F), canned goods (above 34 degrees F), and frozen foods (0 degrees F or below), with strict protocols for product inspection, rejection, and vendor pickup. Additional specifications include mandatory palletization, requirements for Kosher-certified items, and a three-day conditional receipt period allowing for comprehensive examination and testing of delivered products.
Critical delivery stipulations include immediate refusal of products showing signs of prior thawing, mandatory marking of religious diet items with Kosher Symbols, and vendor responsibility for retrieving unacceptable items within two days of notification. Items not retrieved within two weeks will be disposed of by warehouse staff. These detailed requirements are part of a quarterly egg solicitation (Solicitation Number 15B12125Q00000025) for the Bureau of Prisons, restricted to 100% Small Business, with a delivery period from July 1, 2025, to September 30, 2025, and an anticipated award date of June 30, 2025.
