About this file

The document is a Delivery Requirements specification for a federal food service contract at the Federal Correctional Complex Hazelton in West Virginia. The requirements detail strict temperature, packaging, and inspection protocols for food deliveries, including specific guidelines for perishable, frozen, and canned goods. Key delivery specifications include maintaining precise temperature ranges (0-40 degrees F depending on food type), mandatory palletization, Kosher symbol requirements, and a comprehensive inspection process where deliveries may be conditionally received for up to three days and can be refused if they do not meet specifications. Unacceptable items must be retrieved by the vendor within two days of notification, with disposal occurring after two weeks if not picked up.

These detailed delivery requirements are part of a solicitation (15B12125Q00000026) for certified foods, restricted to 100% Small Business, with an anticipated solicitation release date of May 14, 2025, and quote submission deadline of May 28, 2025. The contract is for the Bureau of Prisons, with deliveries to be made to the Food Service Warehouse in Bruceton Mills, WV. The anticipated contract award date is June 30, 2025, with a firm-fixed price contract type and potential for single or multiple awards based on past performance and pricing evaluation.
