About this file
This document outlines delivery requirements for food products at the Federal Bureau of Prisons, FCC Hazelton facility. The requirements specify strict temperature controls for different food categories: non-frozen perishables must be between 34-40°F, canned goods above 34°F (not frozen), and frozen foods at 0°F or below. Products showing signs of prior thawing will be refused.
All deliveries must be palletized unless pre-arranged with warehouse staff, and religious diet items must display the Kosher Symbol on individual packages and comply with BOP National Menu Specifications. The facility maintains a rigorous inspection process, with deliveries subject to a 3-day conditional receipt period for examination and testing. Vendors must retrieve rejected items within two days of notification at their expense, and any unclaimed items after two weeks will be disposed of by warehouse staff.
