About this file

This document outlines delivery requirements for food items at the Federal Correctional Complex Hazelton in West Virginia, specifically for certified foods under solicitation 15B12125Q00000004. The requirements specify strict temperature controls: non-frozen perishables must be delivered between 34-40°F, canned goods above 34°F, and frozen foods at 0°F or below. All deliveries must be palletized unless pre-arranged with warehouse staff.

The document includes specific requirements for kosher items, which must display the Kosher Symbol on individual packages and comply with BOP National Menu Specifications. The inspection process allows for a three-day conditional receipt period for examination and testing. Products found unacceptable must be retrieved by vendors within two days of notification, and if not collected within two weeks, will be disposed of by warehouse staff. All items are subject to close inspection, with some requiring thawing and cooking to verify compliance with specifications.
