About this file

This is a Special Notice announcing a Proposers Day for the DARPA Cattle Run program (DARPA-SN-27-03). The event will be held on November 10, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST at the DARPA Conference Center (675 North Randolph Street, Arlington, VA 22203). Registration is required by 12:00 p.m. EST on November 4, 2026, through https://cvent.me/BVOW3V, with attendance limited to the first 160 registrants and no more than two representatives per organization. There is no registration fee.

The Cattle Run program seeks to enable cost-effective cislunar constellations by developing and demonstrating autonomous spacecraft that leverage solar sails or other renewable propulsion for station keeping and maneuverability during long mission durations in cislunar space. The program initially focuses on rapidly developing and launching a demonstrator spacecraft below geosynchronous earth orbit to demonstrate how renewable propulsion can achieve sufficient acceleration, accurate vehicle control, and autonomous Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC), with later objectives including development and launch of multiple spacecraft for cislunar operation. The Proposers Day will provide information on the program, address potential proposer questions, and facilitate teaming opportunities through an industry interactive exchange. Ten-minute one-on-one sessions with Mr. Steven Chambers, STO Program Manager, are available from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. by request during registration. Attendees must be U.S. Citizens, present government-issued photo identification, and submit a U.S. Citizenship Verification form (DARPA eForm 104). Attendees must also provide their Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Unique Identifier (UID) and organization name; CMMC Level 2 certification is required, verified through the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS). The Proposers Day does not constitute a formal solicitation and attendance is not a prerequisite for responding to future solicitations. Contact: Mr. Steven Chambers at DARPA-SN-27-03@darpa.mil.

Cattle Run Proposers Day EVENT DATE: 10 November 2026 REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 4 November 2026, 12:00pm EST REGISTRATION WEBSITE: https://cvent.me/BVOW3V TECHNICAL POC: Mr. Steven Chambers, STO Program Manager E-MAIL: DARPA‐SN‐27-03@darpa.mil

PROPOSERS DAY:

DARPA is hosting a Proposers Day in support of DARPA-SN-27-03 Cattle Run program on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at the DARPA Conference Center (675 North Randolph Street, Arlington, VA 22203) from 8:00am to 5:00pm EST. The purpose of this conference is to provide information on the Cattle Run program, promote additional discussion on this topic, address questions from potential proposers, and provide a forum for potential proposers to meet for teaming opportunities.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVE AND DESCRIPTION:

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Cattle Run program seeks to enable cost-effective cislunar constellations by developing and demonstrating autonomous spacecraft that leverage solar sails or other renewable propulsion for station keeping and maneuverability over long mission durations in cislunar space. The program initially focuses on rapidly developing and launching a demonstrator spacecraft below geosynchronous earth orbit to show how renewable propulsion can achieve sufficient acceleration, accurate vehicle control, and autonomous Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC). Later objectives for the program include developing and launching multiple spacecraft to demonstrate cislunar operation.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

DARPA hosts Proposers Days to promote teaming arrangements between researchers; provide potential performers with information on whether and how they might respond to the Government’s research and development solicitations; and to increase efficiency in proposal preparation and evaluation. Therefore, Proposers Days are open only to registered potential proposers.

Participants must register No Later Than 12:00PM EST, 4 November 2026, at the following website: https://cvent.me/BVOW3V. Directions to the facility and other materials are also available on the website. There is no registration fee for attending this conference. Due to space limitations of the conference facility, attendance will be limited to the first 160 registrants, and no more than 2 representatives per organization.

ONE ON ONE SESSIONS:

Following the conclusion of the Cattle Run overview presentations, individual 10-minute one-on-one sessions will be available during the Proposers Day with Mr. Steven Chambers from 1:00- 5:00pm (EST). To request a session, please indicate your interest when registering. A follow-up confirmation email will be sent if a timeslot is available. To ensure fair access, duplicate requests from the same organization will be combined into a single timeslot.

INDUSTRY INTERACTIVE EXCHANGE:

This interactive exchange provides an opportunity for direct engagement, discussion, networking, and exploration of potential partnerships and practical applications. Participants are encouraged to bring handouts, business cards, and other informational materials to support discussion with attendees.

Specific content, communications, networking, and team formation are the sole responsibility of the participants. DARPA does not endorse the organizations participating in or the information provided during the exchange.

ELIGIBILITY NOTICE:

The Proposer Day will be held at the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) level. All attendees must be U.S. Citizens. No Foreign Nationals permitted.

All attendees will be required to present government issued photo identification upon entry to the event. Additionally, all U.S. Citizens are required to submit a U.S. Citizenship Verification form (DARPA eForm 104), which will be provided during registration, in order to attend this conference.

The Proposers Day does not constitute a formal solicitation for proposals or proposal abstracts.

Attendance is voluntary and is not a prerequisite for responding to solicitations. DARPA will not provide reimbursement for any costs incurred to participate in this Proposers Day.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION:

Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Requirements: Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Controlled Technical Information (CTI) on Non-DoD Information Systems This Program and any resultant Program Solicitation (PS) will include Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). The Government will verify that attendees and proposers meet CMMC Level 2 requirements. CMMC Level 2 Self-Assessments focus on the protection of CUI and incorporates the 110 security requirements specified in NIST SP 800-171 Rev 2.

Attendees and proposers must have a current annual CMMC affirmation, submitted by an authorized Affirming Official, posted in SPRS. Further, as some entities may have multiple business segments, multiple CAGE codes, etc., DARPA must reasonably be able to relate the CMMC UID in SPRS to the proposing entity.

This verification will be performed by checking the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) using the CMMC Unique Identifier (UID). Attendees must provide their CMMC UID and organization when registering.
