About this file

This is a Price Quote Proposal Sheet for Unit Items from the California Department of Transportation for Contract Number 11A4280, a ramp rehabilitation project in San Diego County. The project involves pavement rehab work on the southbound I-15 exit ramp to Ocean View Boulevard, with an approximate magnitude of work valued at $320,695.00. The scope includes 26 line items encompassing jobsite management, construction area signage, traffic control, asphalt work, pavement marking removal and installation, thermoplastic traffic striping, and roadside signage modifications. The work items range from lump sum tasks such as WPCP preparation and traffic control to unit-priced items including 531 tons of rubberized hot mix asphalt, 4,020 square yards of cold plane asphalt concrete pavement, and various linear feet of thermoplastic traffic striping with enhanced wet night visibility.

This is a Small Business (SB) Minor B contract requiring bidders to be certified small businesses under section 2-1.05, with bid submittals accepted by email only to arlena.tedder@dot.ca.gov. Bids exceeding $461,000.00 will be rejected per Public Contract Code 10105(b). The contractor must provide unit pricing in figures for each line item, with the total contract amount calculated from these individual bids. Payment bonds and insurance will be required at the time of award if the company is selected as the low bidder. The department encourages but does not establish a mandatory DVBE (Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise) participation goal. No specific response date or award timeline is provided in this proposal sheet; however, the form requires execution by an authorized representative and includes provisions for contractor eligibility verification through contractor license numbers, federal ID information, and Department of Industrial Relations registration.
