The project involves placing approximately 165 lbs. per sq. yd. of Type C hot-laid asphalt concrete over existing pavement on six roads (Sally Cir., Arin St., Wachovia Hills Dr., Crooked Creek Dr., Deer Chase Way, and Fox Chase Way) and approximately 200 lbs. per sq. yd. of Type C hot-laid asphalt concrete on a stone base on four additional roads (Sunny Field Dr., Lucas Cir., Fessional Rd., and Canal Dr.). The contract requires an SCDOT-certified roadway technician on-site and includes a one-year guarantee period for the completed work.

The total project involves 14,734 square yards of new pavement and 27,290 square yards of resurfacing, with unit pricing to be determined by bidders. Price adjustments will be calculated based on monthly SCDOT fuel and asphalt indexes, and payment is contingent upon the contractor providing asphalt weight tickets and documentation of required SCDOT asphalt testing. The county reserves the right to increase or decrease the contract amount by up to 10% and will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid best serves the county's interests, considering both price and the quality and performance of equipment and materials.
