About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the acquisition of a Medrad Stellant Flex Overhead Counterpoise CT Injection System for the Zuni Service Unit Radiology Department. The equipment is required to replace an end-of-life CT injector system that currently does not reliably support the 24/7 operational demands mandated by The Joint Commission for the hospital's CT imaging services. The injector system delivers intravenous contrast to enhance blood flow and organ visibility during CT scans for primary, urgent, and emergency patient care.

The contractor shall provide the Medrad Stellant Flex Overhead Counterpoise CT Injection System with full installation, two 150 mL flex syringes, 60-inch tubing with T connector, small spikes (20 per box), shipping and handling, and a one-year original equipment manufacturer warranty. Installation must be coordinated with the Zuni Service Unit Radiology Department, Contracting Officer, and Alternate Contracting Officer to ensure continuity of hospital services. The installation team must supply their own tools, maintain liability insurance, and provide written installation and functionality reports to the Radiology Department manager before departing. The system specifications include flow rate ranges of 0.1–10 mL/sec, programmable pressure limits from 50–325 psi, up to six injection phases, dual injector heads with simultaneous contrast and saline injection capability, remote support services, and electrical requirements of 100–240 VAC at 50/60 Hz. Delivery must be completed no later than December 31, 2026, at Zuni Comprehensive Community Health Center, Radiology Department, 21 B Avenue, Zuni, NM 87327, with operations scheduled Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. No immunization certification is required as installers will not interact with patients.

Zuni Service Unit-Radiology Department Medrad Stellant CT Injection System

STATEMENT OF WORK

The purpose of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to acquire a Medrad Stellant Flex Overhead Counterpoise CT Injection System. The CT injector supports CT imaging services for primary, urgent and emergency patient care and must remain operational to support clinical services.

Introduction: The Zuni Service Unit currently has a CT injector system that requires replacement due to the service life expiration. This equipment is classified as “end of life” and may not support the patient care demand of a 24/7 hospital.

Background: The Zuni Service Unit (ZSU) CT scanner is used for all ordered CT scans requiring intravenous contrast. The injector provides high volume and pressure rate of contrast to patients through protocol requirements. Intravenous contrast is used to enhance the blood flow and anatomy/organ visuality. The Joint Commission has a mandated requirement that the CT scanner is fully operational 24/7. The CT injector system must be uninterrupted and dependable for the diagnosis and treatment for continued care of patients.
