Title: Jaw Crusher
Description: A benchtop crusher is required for high-throughput disaggregation of 2.5 L soil samples consisting of 3.1 cm diameter cores while meeting safety precautions for silica exposure and machinery hazards.
Requirements:
1. Jaw crusher style (not flail or ball mill grinder)
2. Breaking jaws and wearing plates included
3. Single sample capacity at least 2.5L (~ 5 pints)
4. Feed size at least 35mm diameter
5. Adjustable discharge/sieve sizes to provide final sizes 0.5mm to 2mm.
6. Removable crushing components for hands-free cleaning between samples (no cross-contamination and improved safety).
7. 115-120V with North American power cord
8. Direct drive for safety (not belted)
9. Adjustable settings to retain accurate particle size over time
10. Force-feed design with “no-splash-back” hopper for safety
