About this file
This is an Addendum One to the Bid Manual for the 2021 Crushed Aggregate Materials Supply Contract issued by Kenosha County Department of Public Works & Development Services in Wisconsin. The contract requires contractors to furnish, deliver, and stockpile 3/4" crushed aggregate base material to the Kenosha County Wilmot Pit Facility located at 32303 116th Street, Wilmot, Wisconsin. The material must meet Section 305.2.2.1 of the General Specifications with specific gradation requirements across multiple sieve sizes. Sealed bids were due by 1:15 p.m. on February 25, 2021, at the Office of the Kenosha County Highway Commissioner, 19600 75th Street, Suite 122-1, Bristol, Wisconsin 53104. All bidders were required to file a Bidders Proof of Responsibility Form (Form PA-10) by 3:00 p.m. on February 19, 2021. Questions on contract documents were to be submitted by 3:00 p.m. on February 22, 2021, with answers provided by 3:00 p.m. on February 23, 2021. Bid results were to be emailed to all bidders by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2021.
Addendum One, dated February 22, 2021, revised the project specifications by removing stockpiling and grading requirements from Item No. 1, clarifying that the County would no longer require the contractor to stockpile delivered gravel using a loader. The contractor must perform gradation testing at minimum intervals of one test per 1,000 tons of material furnished, with costs borne by the contractor and results provided weekly to the County. Payment is based on quantities weighed by the contractor's scale after verification by the Project Engineer, at the contract unit price per ton of material furnished and delivered. Materials not conforming to the specified 3/4-inch gradation specifications will be paid at 50 percent of the unit bid price as a penalty. Kenosha County reserves the right to conduct random independent material testing for quality control at County expense. One final payment is anticipated upon completion of all contract work.
