21 Referring to A.5 of the Scope of Work: “… interactive training to multiple students at the same time”. Do you mean multiple students running one simulation, each one at one simulator, at the same time, with independent simulations or with simulations that are connected (for example two students running two trains in the same line that can make a coupling or uncoupling exercise)?
Requirement is for multiple students to run independent scenarios at the same time. No
22 Referring to B.1.1.1 a) to c): operation of Auxiliary
Control Panel and Left Console Controls are requested. Can you provide information of these panels like dimensions, location in the cab, controls that are included?
See Attachment F - drawing SNA-CP-6060-201, AUXILIARY CONTROL PANEL-

See Attachment G - drawing SNA-CP-6070-2011, LEFT DOOR CONTROL PANEL-
WMATA 7000
YES
23 Referring to B.1.1.1 d): Hostler panel. The supplier should replicate the operator´s console of the train, but the Hostler panel is located at the other end of the unit. Can you provide information of this panel like dimensions, location in the cab, controls that are included? Is the Hostler panel to be included in the
Compact Simulators?
Hostler panel is to be included in the Compact Simulator. Contractor should propose solution for location of hostler panel for realistic training.
No
24 Referring to B.1.1.4 m): Can you provide information about the coupling between 7000-series and the legacy vehicles? Up to which point is necessary to simulate the legacy vehicles?
Please review ATTACHMENT D - 7K Simulator Project Legacy Coupling to 7K. YES
25 SOW B.5.2 Referring to B.5.2: Each Instructor Station will be capable of controlling and monitoring up to 4
Compact Simulators simultaneously, but do you expect to have the four of them at the same time in the
Instructor screens or is acceptable to switch (by software and without any impact on the simulations) from one to another? Do you expect to have the four simulators fixed to each Instructor or would you like to select which simulators are connected to each
Instructor at every training session?
REPLACE B.5.2 “Each instructor station must be capable of controlling and monitoring any of the 20 compact simulators, and up to 4 simultaneously.”

31 SOW Section B.1.1.2a Section B.1.1.2 a - Could we get more details on coupling/uncoupling procedure to understand the capability requirement?
See ATTACHMENTS D and E.
32 Section B.1.3 - In order to provide an accurate pricing quote, could we get more details on the capability requirements? Specifically, what are the details of the slip-slide system activation system?
The train detects when it experiences a slip (acceleration) or slide (braking) and momentarily reduces tractive or braking effort to allow the slipping/sliding axle to rotate freely and regain adhesion to the rail. Operator may experience a jerky ride, thumping noised beneath cars and stopping distance of the train may be increased.
Slip/Slide typically occurs during slippery rail conditions such as rain, snow, and leaves falling on the rails. Full details of slip-slide activation system can be provided after contract award.
No
33 Section B.2.1.2 - For cab layout and dimensions, reference attachment A, drawing D5211-000006d, Cab Equipment Arrangement. This reference is missing. Can WMATA please supply drawing
