About this file
This document is an amendment to a previous notice from the State of Illinois Central Management Services Bureau of Strategic Sourcing regarding COVID-19 protection requirements for contractors. The amendment recognizes that subsequent Executive Orders 2021-22 and 2021-23 have superseded the previous Executive Order 2021-20 and extended the date by which certain contractors must become vaccinated. All state agencies are required to notify potential contractors of the updated COVID-19 protection requirements by including the amended version of the COVID-19 Protections clause in all solicitations, regardless of procurement method.
The amended COVID-19 Protections clause mandates that contractors adhere to the requirements of Executive Orders 2021-22 and 2021-23, which require the use of face coverings, COVID-19 vaccinations, or testing when in certain indoor public places, health care facilities, schools, institutions of higher education, and state-owned and operated congregate facilities. Agencies may also implement additional vaccination or testing requirements that exceed those in the Executive Orders.
