B. Access/Surveillance

Contractors are required to show proof of vaccination. Upon entering the building, all contractors are screened in the front lobby. They are also to self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 infection, including temperature and symptoms of cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, body aches, or headaches. If experiencing any symptoms, they are not to report to the facility. Contractors are required to inform the facility of positive contractors within 24 hours of receipt of notification. Contractors may be subjected to testing at the discretion of the facility. Contractor testing is to be coordinated by the

Director of Plant Management or designee. Meetings related to contract work will be held via video/teleconferencing at the discretion of the facility. Contractors will follow infection control protocols to include face masks on at all times, social distancing where possible, and frequent hand washing. Escorts will provide additional direction related to restricted access to specific areas of the facility.

C. Movement

All contractors will be provided with individual staff escort (1:1) to monitor activities to include but not limited to infection control protocol adherence and management of tools/equipment.

D. PPE Distribution

Contractors are to arrive at the front lobby with appropriate PPE (face mask). The facility will provide needed PPE in the event the contractors PPE is damaged or destroyed no more than once per week.

Face masks can be obtained from the Director of Plant Management or designee.

E. Suspected or Positive Patient

Management of isolated patients is per the Control of Disease Transmission standard procedure, Howard County Department of Health, and CDC guidelines. In the event a patient tests positive who resides in the area currently under construction, contractors will be notified, and work suspended. The ward will be placed on limited movement until all isolation precautions are discontinued. Discussions to resume work will not be revisited until the ward is cleared by the Clinical Director.
