About this file

This document is an amendment to a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the NIST MEP Competitive Awards Program (2021-NIST-MEP-CAP-01). The amendment updates several sections of the original NOFO, including changes to CFR language references, formatting corrections, and updates to federal agency contacts.

The NIST MEP Competitive Awards Program provides funding for projects that will add capabilities to the MEP Program, with priority given to proposals addressing criteria such as Industry 4.0, manufacturing workforce services, supply chain management, and artificial intelligence. Eligible applicants are current MEP Centers. Funding is provided through cooperative agreements. The program is part of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (CFDA 11.611) administered by the Department of Commerce's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The amendment notes recent revisions to the OMB Guidance for Federal Financial Assistance that will be effective for awards issued by NIST on or after October 1, 2024.
