Every tray within the VLM will be transported from its storage location to the pick window and returned multiple times. If the VLM successfully performs without failure for the prescribed time, the performance acceptance test shall be deemed in compliance and otherwise successful. If the system fails to pass the acceptance reliability testing demonstration within 3 attempts, then the system shall be rejected.

4.2.1. SYSTEM CHECKOUT TEST

Upon completion of installation, the Contractor shall perform a functional check out of each VLM. The Contractor shall inspect the VLM to ensure they meet all mandated technical requirements. The Contractor shall also perform applicable testing to ensure the VLM is ready for functional acceptance testing. All inspections and testing shall be repeated until modifications, calibrations, and/or adjustments are complete and the system passes all inspections and tests to the satisfaction of the PM. The PM will schedule the functional acceptance testing one day following the receipt of written certification from the Contractor.

4.2.2. QUALITY CONFORMANCE TEST

As part of the quality conformance test, the Contractor shall provide written certification that the requirements listed in 4.3.3. have been met. This certification is required on or before the start of the quality conformance test. The Contractor, in the presence of the PM, shall inspect the system to confirm that the system meets all the requirements of 4.3.1. The Contractor, in the presence of the PM, shall also test the system in accordance with the test defined in 4.3.2. Upon successful completion of all tests and inspections and the receipt of all certifications, the reliability demonstration shall start.
