About this file
This is a Request for Shelving Quotes document issued by the State of Maine court system on March 4, 2011, for the procurement of steel shelving units and related installation services across six judicial locations. The project encompasses the supply, freight delivery, inside delivery, and installation of heavy-duty, 22-gauge painted steel shelving units in beige and grey colors across Fort Kent District Court, Waterville Superior Court, Hancock County Courthouse, Lincoln District Court, and two locations at the Clerk of the Law Court in Portland. The shelving specifications vary by location and include both box-style units (ranging from 42"W x 30-32"D x 76-87"H with 6-8 openings at 11-inch clear height) and end-tab file units (36-42"W x 12-16"D x 76-88"H with 6-8 openings at 9-inch clear height), all featuring single-rivet support, heavy-duty shelf reinforcement, and minimum 1-inch thick shelves. One location includes a mobile high-density shelving system with approximately 170" x 126" dimensions featuring modular decking and mechanical assist handles. The work scope includes furniture relocation, file cabinet movement, and box repositioning as needed at each location.
The request indicates that the state reserves the right to accept all or some items in any purchase order award. Pricing must include all products, freight costs, inside delivery, and installation labor. The document does not specify response deadlines, contract award dates, contract terms, renewal options, total project budget, or funding sources. Additionally, there are no indications of set-asides, incumbent contractors, site visit requirements, or bidder conferences within this quote request document.
