About this file

This file is a coursework questions template designed to collect detailed information from vendors regarding Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs proposed for Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Atlanta. The template requests specifications for thirteen CTE programs spanning fire alarm systems, fire suppression, flagging, masonry, concrete, carpentry, electrician, pipe fitting, TPO roofing, HVAC technician, and general certification classes including safety certifications (OSHA, CPR/First Aid, forklift, aerial lift, ladder safety, fall protection, hazard communication, trenching and excavation safety, and blueprint reading).

For each proposed CTE program, vendors must provide course length in clock hours or weeks/months to completion, curriculum publisher information, resulting national or industry-recognized certifications, confirmation of hands-on training inclusion, cost per student (inclusive of instruction, certification exam, and credential), and square footage requirements for coursework and lab facilities. Special requirements noted include fire alarm systems requiring NICET certification with a 30-45 day class duration and two instructors per class; fire suppression and TPO roofing programs may be vendor-led with two instructors or staff-led through T4T certification programs; and TPO roofing requires designated outdoor hands-on training space. Class sizes are limited to 20 students maximum with instruction capped at 6 hours per day, Monday-Friday, excluding federal holidays, to accommodate institutional needs at the FCI Atlanta low-security facility.
