2. Introduction

2.1. Summary

The County of Sacramento is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit multiple qualified

Contractors for the provision of comprehensive language access services that support the County’s commitment to equity, inclusion, and accessibility. The selected Contractor(s) will provide professional services in the following areas:

• On-site interpretation for real-time communication across County departments

• Document translation for written materials, forms, and public-facing communications

• American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation to ensure accessibility for Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals

County Board of Supervisors approval. The contract will be subject to the same terms and conditions upon execution by the Contract and Purchasing Services Division.

This RFP is part of a cooperative purchasing agreement through the Lead Participating Agency, County of

Sacramento, for SCoPA (Sacramento County Procurement Alliance), a collaboration that allows the

County and other Governmental, Educational, and Non-Profit entities to benefit from collective purchasing power. As a result, any selected bid may be utilized by additional participating entities, providing expanded visibility and potential for additional opportunities.
