This is a general services contract template and solicitation document from the City of Bridgeport Board of Education (BBOE) in Connecticut for landscape services—specifically cutting services. The BBOE publicly advertised for qualified, licensed vendors to provide landscape services at public school locations. Electronic bid submissions are being accepted through the City's e-Procurement Portal (OpenGov) until 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, with public opening to follow immediately thereafter. The cut-off date for written questions is 2:00 pm on Monday, May 18, 2026. Bidders must create a free account with OpenGov Procurement to submit responses and should monitor the portal regularly for any addendums. The contract will commence within five business days of a written Notice to Proceed and will continue until the work is completed, the agreement is terminated, or the specified contract term expires, whichever occurs first.

Compensation will be based on unit pricing according to specifications and schedules detailed in the solicitation exhibits, with all work schedules considered material to the agreement and time of the essence. The contract price is designated as a not-to-exceed amount unless otherwise stated and includes wages, overhead, administrative expenses, and profit. Monthly invoicing is permitted for work performed, with payment due within forty-five days of invoice receipt and proper documentation. The Contractor must obtain and maintain comprehensive insurance coverage including Workers' Compensation, Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence/$2,000,000 aggregate), Automobile Liability ($1,000,000), and Contractors Pollution Liability ($1,000,000 each claim/$2,000,000 aggregate), with the City and BBOE named as additional insureds. The Contractor is classified as an independent contractor responsible for all payroll taxes and employee benefits. The agreement is governed by Connecticut law, with disputes resolved in Fairfield County courts.
