About this file

This is a Contractor Security Acknowledgement Form for the State of South Dakota, administered by the Bureau of Information Technology (BIT). The form requires contractors and their employees to acknowledge compliance with the State's Information Technology Security Policy as a condition of contract performance. Contractors must sign the agreement on behalf of all current and future employees involved in service delivery. The form serves as a binding acknowledgement that the contractor understands security obligations related to access to state technology infrastructure and non-public information.

The agreement establishes nine key compliance requirements, including contractor responsibility for protecting state technology and information assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, deletion, and misuse; adherence to state and federal confidentiality and data handling regulations; and prompt reporting of policy violations to the designated state contact and BIT Help Desk (605-773-4357). The form specifies that access to state technology infrastructure is a privilege subject to revocation by BIT management at any time, automatically terminates upon contract termination unless otherwise agreed in writing, and that violations may result in privilege revocation and potential breach of contract determination. The individual signing the form must have authority to commit the entire company and all its employees to these terms. The document requires signatures from both the contractor representative and the designated BIT contact, along with printed names and the contract date.
