About this file

This file is a Conference Room 224 Audio-Visual (AV) System User Guide in PowerPoint format that provides operational instructions for classified and unclassified conference room equipment.

The guide details system operation across two classification modes: UNCLASSIFIED and SECRET, each with distinct features and capabilities. In UNCLASSIFIED mode, users can access the Main Page and Audio Call functions, while SECRET mode provides Main Page, VTC Call, and Camera Controls options. The document provides step-by-step instructions for powering on three displays via remote control, routing video sources to specific displays, managing audio controls (local room volume, speaker mute, and microphone mute status), and conducting audio calls using the system's dial pad and access code entry functions. SECRET mode includes video teleconference (VTC) call capabilities with navigation controls and VTC presentation source selection, as well as camera controls for a single in-room camera with pan, tilt, and zoom functionality plus two preset positions (Center Camera and Dock Camera). The guide includes audio control features applicable to both modes, such as microphone light ring indicators showing mute status (red for muted, green for unmuted). The document concludes with shutdown procedures that clear all displays, mute speakers and microphones, and return the system to the initial classification mode selection screen. Multiple instructional images accompany the text to illustrate interface screens, button locations, and operational sequences.

Conference Room 224 AV User Guide

To start operation of the system, select the classification mode for which you will be operating the system. Selecting “UNCLASSIFIED” will prevent utilization of any “SECRET” sources. Likewise, selecting “SECRET” will prevent utilization of any “UNCLASSIFIED” sources.

Select classification source

Prior to routing any sources, ensure each of the three displays in the room are powered on. There is a red LED at the bottom of each display. If this LED is on, then the display is powered off. Ensure that all three displays are powered on (no LED is showing at the bottom of the displays). To power on the displays, hit the power button on the remote control.

If there is a red LED on here, then the display is powered off.

The power button to turn on the displays. Just hit the button once, and all three displays should power on. The button does not need to be hit once for each display.

This is the main page in “UNCLASSIFIED” mode. On the left side, you have “Main Page” and “Audio Call” options. “Main Page” is what is currently shown. “Audio Call” will allow you to make a telephone call using the microphones and speakers that are part of the AV system.

This is the main page in “SECRET” mode. On the left side, you have “Main Page”, “VTC Call”, and “Camera Controls” options. “Main Page” is what is currently shown. “VTC Call” will bring up the SECRET codec for a VTC call. “Camera Controls” provides you a way to manipulate the position of the camera.

Audio controls are located at the bottom of the page. The “Local Room Volume” slide bar modifies the volume of the sound in the room. “Mute/Un-Mute Speakers” changes the mute status of the speakers. “Mute/Un-Mute Mics” changes the mute status of the microphones. The microphones also have a light ring around them – when it is red, the mics are muted. When it is green, the mics are un-muted. This applies for both “UNCLASSIFIED” and “SECRET” modes.
