About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) document from the City of St. Petersburg, Florida, seeking qualified organizations to design, install, enhance, and maintain community gardens and food forests throughout the city. The City is requesting detailed information regarding service capabilities, implementation approaches, cost structures, and recommended contract methodologies to support sustainable and well-maintained spaces that can be scaled across multiple sites. The RFI seeks responses that will inform the City's assessment of project feasibility, enable cost estimation for future initiatives, and support the development of a competitive solicitation. The document does not specify formal response deadlines, site visit requirements, or bidder conferences within the scope provided, indicating this is an information-gathering phase preceding formal procurement activities.

The RFI focuses on understanding pricing models, service delivery structures, and potential risks or barriers associated with establishing and maintaining community gardens and food forests at multiple locations. The City is open to contract approaches ranging from a single citywide agreement to site-specific engagements, depending on respondents' recommendations and capabilities. The document does not specify funding amounts, budget allocations, or identified funding sources at this stage. This information-gathering exercise will directly inform the City's future procurement strategy and competitive solicitation development, making responses critical for organizations interested in participating in subsequent formal contract opportunities.
