About this file
The document is a Common Carrier Attestation form for Pinellas County, Florida, specifically related to the 25-0318-RFP Deferred Compensation Plan Consultant solicitation. The attestation requires a contractor to confirm compliance with Florida Statute § 92.525, specifically affirming that they will not willfully transport unauthorized aliens during the contract term, except to facilitate their detention, removal, or departure from the state or United States. The form is designed to be completed by an authorized representative of the contractor, who must provide their signature, printed name, date, Federal Work Authorization User Identification Number, and the specific Pinellas County contract details.
The document includes a critical termination clause wherein the County reserves the right to terminate the associated agreement for cause if the contractor is found in violation of the attestation. The definition of a "common carrier" is provided in the document as a person, firm, or corporation that undertakes to transport persons or commodities for hire as a regular business, offering services to anyone willing to pay their charges. This attestation appears to be a standard legal requirement for contractors engaging in work with Pinellas County, ensuring compliance with state regulations regarding transportation and employment of unauthorized individuals.
