About this file
This document is a Request for Response (RFR) from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the re-opening of a bid solicitation to provide communications equipment installation services at various sites across the state. The RFR is seeking bids from qualified vendors to supply and install Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and microwave communications equipment, including antennas and shelters, at 35 different site locations throughout Massachusetts and surrounding areas. Bidders must complete a company profile and register to become an approved communications equipment site provider, and then can submit bids for the specific site locations. Site details include required antenna and microwave dish quantities, preferred tower elevations, ground space needs, electrical requirements, and target installation dates ranging from March 2022 to January 2024.
Regarding pricing, the RFR indicates that bidders can propose a $0 lease contract, or submit a separate pricing sheet. The procurement is open to new bidders, with any previous bids from the prior iterations of this RFR remaining valid. The RFR also notes that some site search areas have been modified or new sites have been added, so bidders should verify if they have suitable towers within the updated geographic areas.
