About this file
This document is a Request for Response (RFR) issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the Commercial Equipment Installation Rights RFR - Business Response Workbook (reopened). The RFR is seeking bids from communications equipment site providers to manage 30 different communication site locations across Massachusetts and New England. Bidders are required to complete a company profile, list available towers, and submit bids for specific communication sites within designated search areas. The RFR provides details on the required tower needs, microwave requirements, ground space, electricity, and other site specifications. Bidders that successfully complete Part 1 of the RFR will be eligible to enter into agreements with the Commonwealth for the sites listed in Part 2. The RFR includes updated and new sites, with some sites being removed. Bidders are asked to check if they operate towers within the modified or new search areas.
The RFR specifies pricing and lease terms, with the Commonwealth seeking a $0 lease contract from bidders. The RFR is part of a larger state and local contract opportunity for ASB Land Mobile Microwave Radio Communication Equipment Site and Tower Install Rights. The contract is open to bidders across Massachusetts, with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts serving as the lead agency. The RFR provides details on funding requirements, sources, and amounts, as well as any set-asides or incumbent information.
