Principles of operation: The Spectra G8 functions as a portable, battery-powered LED headlight system. Its operation is based on the following principles:
1. Light Emission:
The device uses high-efficiency LED technology to produce a concentrated beam of white light (up to 300,000 lux) suitable for illuminating surgical fields.
2. Optical Control:
The user can adjust the beam diameter to suit different surgical requirements. This is typically achieved through a rotating or sliding control mechanism located near the lens of the headlight.
3. Battery Operation:
The headlight is powered by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries housed in a battery pack worn by the user or attached to a belt or garment. Each battery provides approximately 5 hours of continuous use. Battery packs are replaceable to allow uninterrupted operation.
4. Hands-Free Illumination:
The headlight is mounted on a lightweight, adjustable headband (with patented AirPad™ technology), allowing the user to direct the light with head movement. This design provides a hands-free lighting solution that enhances surgeon mobility and reduces clutter in the sterile field.
5. User Comfort and Ergonomics:
The headlight’s ergonomic design distributes weight evenly, reducing fatigue during extended use. The padding system enhances comfort and fit, accommodating various head sizes and shapes.
Training: Training should be included with the purchase.
Delivery shall be provided no later than 30 days after receipt of order (ARO).
