About this file

This is a Combination Synopsis-Solicitation for Commercial Purchases under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT) for the procurement of one research-grade Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectrometer System. The solicitation is issued by the Department of the Army Materiel Command, Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground under solicitation number W911QX26QA206. The procurement is for a commercial item acquisition, indicating the government seeks to purchase an existing commercial product rather than a custom-developed system. The solicitation documents include supporting materials such as the Adelphi Special List of Instructions and Information, Salient Characteristics detailing the technical specifications and requirements for the FTIR spectrometer, Evaluation Criteria for proposal assessment, and a CLSExport file containing additional procurement details.

The solicitation requires vendors to provide a research-grade FTIR spectrometer meeting specified technical and performance standards established in the salient characteristics document. As a commercial purchase under SAT, this procurement is subject to simplified acquisition procedures, which typically streamline the competitive process and reduce administrative burden compared to full and open competition. Interested vendors should review all attached documentation, including instructions specific to Aberdeen Proving Ground contracting procedures, technical specifications, and evaluation methodology. The exact response deadline, award timeline, and pricing terms are detailed in the complete solicitation documents referenced but not fully displayed in this summary.
