ProcurementTitle: CHANGE ORDER NOTICE JPMC Verizon Wireless Voice, Data, Equip
BBREFNO.: 19-448DOIT-ADMIN-P-4622
thedetails: DoIT is executing a Change Order on its indefinite quantity, Joint Purchase Master Contract (19-448DOIT-ADMIN-P-4622) with Cellco Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless for the purchase of wireless voice and data services and related equipment. This change order will extend the contract term by one (1) year, amending the end date from 10/3/25 to 10/2/26 and maxing out the 10-year contract term limit.
The Agency has already published a competitive solicitation to replace this contract: JPMC Wireless/Cellular Services Request for Proposal (RFP) / 25-448DOIT-TELEC-B-48596. DoIT estimates that it will need, roughly, an additional year to process the RFP, including bid opening, responsiveness review, evaluations, bid award publication, legal negotiations of resulting contract, execution of replacement contract, and the migration of current services (if required). Once the executed replacement contract is executed, the Agency will work diligently to migrate existing services on current contract to the new contract. The estimated spend during the 12-month extension period is $16,500,000. Since this is an indefinite quantity contract with usage permitted by State agencies, universities, and local government agencies--including Public Safety units--this figure is merely an estimate; it is based on forecasting done by analyzing historical usage. It should not be viewed as a guarantee or limit as to what will, or can, be spent against the contract during the extension period.
Extending this contract allows for the uninterrupted purchase of mission-critical products and services that enable State of Illinois staff to carry out their job duties and to serve Illinois citizens in an efficient manner.
