About this file
This document is a Change Order Notice for a contract between the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and a contractor for the Yorkville Dam Erosion Repair project (FR-444). The change order adds quantities to pay items in the bid schedule to allow the contractor to satisfactorily complete the project. The original contract amount was $402,540.62, and the estimated increase is $76,000. The contract term remains June 9, 2022 through March 31, 2023. The circumstances necessitating the change order were not reasonably foreseeable at the time the contract was signed, and the change order is germane to the original contract.
The increased quantities provided through this change order are estimated to be required to complete the work on the project. If this change order is not approved, the intent of the contract to repair the eroded areas will not be fulfilled. The Contract Completion Date remains the same.
