About this file

This document contains specifications and requirements for the purchase and installation of a Suzuki DF150A outboard motor for a state agency boat located at the Fish Hatchery Road facility in Eastaboga, AL. The requirements detail a 150hp 4-stroke outboard motor with specific features including EFI fuel induction, power trim and tilt, 25" shaft length, and a 3-star C.A.R.B. rating. The installation package includes two stainless steel 4-blade propellers, new fuel line, control box with cables and wiring, engine switch panel, and a 4" Suzuki tachometer with monitor feature. The installation must be completed within 120 days after PO issuance and includes removal of the existing 150hp Mercury motor.

The installation requires mounting the new motor on the KANN deck boat's transom, reusing the existing Dometic hydraulic steering system, and installing all necessary accessories and controls. The vendor must also handle removal of the current motor and its accessories, placing them in a state vehicle. For suppliers located more than 25 miles from the office, pickup and delivery services must be included unless installation occurs onsite. The document includes several reference photos showing the current motor installation, control box placement, and existing trim extender plates used to reduce porpoising.
