About this file
This document package comprises Task Assignment Change Orders (TACOs) and supporting memoranda for contract HW560, Task Assignment BF602C, issued by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) to Tetra Tech, Inc. The work is being conducted at the Port of Fort Pierce, formerly known as King Maritime Group, located in Fort Pierce, Florida (Site ID ERIC_15269). The services are funded through federal grants from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's State & Tribal Response Program (SRP) cooperative agreement, administered by FDEP. Megan Johnson serves as the FDEP Contract Manager, with Misty Quandt representing Tetra Tech.
The contract pertains to targeted brownfield supplemental site assessment activities, comprising four subtasks: Project Management, Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP)/Work Plan and Health and Safety Plan (HASP) development, field assessment activities including soil and groundwater sampling, and preparation of a final assessment report. The original task amount was $50,164.34 under a fixed-price arrangement. Change Order No. 1, dated March 24, 2022, reduced the total task cost to $42,470.09 due to decreases in subcontracted drilling costs, laboratory expenses, and Encore samples required during field work, while extending the completion date from March 31, 2022 to May 13, 2022. Change Order No. 2, dated May 12, 2022, served as a time-only extension to June 17, 2022 with no cost changes, allowing additional time for the Department to review and comment on the draft assessment report before finalization. The invoice schedule specifies three milestone payments tied to departmental approvals of deliverables.

Hi Megan, Depending on the comments and when I receive them, I should be able to get them back to you all before the 13th. A TACO should not be necessary.
Thank you, Misty

Hi Misty, The TA for the Port of Fort Pierce site expires this Friday, May 13th, see attached. We have a few comments on the final report that would need editing of the document from Tetra Tech, we’re just checking with our DBSP section and hope to send those comments along soon. We confirmed that Tetra Tech can still edit the report and invoice for the work after the period of performance ends for the TA, so long as we are confident there will not be a cost increase and you all are comfortable with that. Alternately, we could issue a time extension TACO to move out the period of performance.
Please let us know which one you are comfortable with.
Thanks so much, Megan
