Request for Proposal (RFP) Number CMS-2007-QIO9thSOW-NAHC
Amendment Number 2 This document officially issues Amendment Number 2 to the subject Request for Proposal (RFP). Offerors are advised that they must acknowledge receipt of Amendment Number 2 on the Standard Form 33 which shall be completed and included in the Business Proposal. The purpose of this amendment is to:
1.
Inform Industry that the CMS 9th SOW QIO Pre-proposal Conference transcriptions are available on the CMS website;
2.
Inform Industry that Questions and CMS Responses for the 9th SOW QIO Renewal RFP are available on the CMS website;
3.
Inform Industry of the QIOSynergy.org website; and 4.
Extend the due date and time for submission of proposals.
Interested Parties should note that the information identified in items number 1 and 2, above, is for informational purposes only. The Pre-proposal Conference transcripts and the Industry Questions and CMS Responses can be accessed at:
http://www.cms.hhs.gov/QualityImprovementOrgs/04_9thsow.asp#TopOfPage The Competitive RFP is not amended by any of these postings made available on the CMS website. CMS anticipates issuing Amendment Number 3 to the subject solicitation which will be made available on Fed Biz Opps. Amendment Number 3 will transmit the Industry Questions and CMS Responses which were submitted during the Question period for this RFP. Amendment Number 3 will also include a revised (amended) version of the RFP itself and an extension to the date and time for proposal submission. Posting of Amendment Number 3 may be as early as the week of March 3, 2008. Therefore, Interested Parties are encouraged to continue monitoring the Fed Biz Opps website for all future information related to this RFP.
QIOSynergy. Org is a new website that launched on February 12, 2008. The intent of the website is to connect potential partners nationwide who share common goals and a commitment to improving the quality of care provided to Medicare beneficiaries.
This website is designed as a QIO program tool to enhance and maximize communication among potential partners that want to work together to improve the economy and quality of services delivered to Medicare beneficiaries.
This website is available to any company, organization, QIO, or other entity that is interested in partnering in a collaborative and/or business relationship to enhance the results of the QIO 9th SOW.

The Partners section includes information on all self-selected companies, organizations, and institutions that list themselves on the site by completing the registration form on the “Get Listed” page.
Potential Partners are encouraged to visit the Get Listed page to fill out the registration form at www.QIOSynergy.org/get_listed.htm.
