About this file

This is Addendum No. 4 to the contract documents for the Centennial Middle School Site Renovations Project #260512-01 in Oregon, issued by the Centennial School District on May 6, 2026. The addendum clarifies design specifications and construction requirements for site improvements including asphalt paving (20,372 SF of AC area plus 436 SF of additional AC area), concrete sidewalks and pedestrian pavements, curbing, drainage systems, landscaping, and fencing. The bid due date remains unchanged at Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The addendum includes a revised drawing (Sheet C4.0 - Paving and Horizontal Control Plan, dated 5/6/2026) and provides responses to eight contractor questions regarding material specifications, concrete reinforcement requirements, expansion joint details, tree maintenance responsibilities, drainage specifications, seeding scope, and temporary fencing requirements.

Key clarifications include establishing that civil drawings govern over landscape drawings for pedestrian sidewalk specifications; requiring reinforcement of the mower travel area (315 SF) with #3 rebar spaced every 12 inches on center with control joints every 6 feet; mandating 12-inch expansion joints with silicone sealant between existing curbing and proposed sidewalk and between existing building foundation and proposed asphalt; confirming trees are included in the contract scope with contractor-provided watering bags until project turnover; limiting seeding to disturbed areas only; and requiring full site fencing that can combine temporary and permanent components. All subcontractors affected by this addendum must be notified of these changes.
