Statement of Work
Requisition 141014-24-0132
Maintenance of Site (Cleaning Services)
Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale (HIHW)
National Marine Sanctuary
SUMMARY
The NOAA Facility located at 726 S. Kihei Rd, Kihei, Hawaii on the island of Maui currently has three buildings on approximately 1.3 acres of property, located in -between two county parks. The three buildings consist of the following: office spaces, a community center, visitor center, bunk room, classroom, and bathrooms.
SCOPE OF WORK
Provide routine cleaning of office spaces, general use areas and bathrooms to all three buildings of the HIHW facility.
1. Scheduled Maintenance Service
Periodic cleaning of the site will be generally defined as twelve hours per month, averaging three hours per week. The contractor shall provide an itemized quote for this periodic cleaning service, which lists the costs for all supplies, labor rate, and estimated labor hours to complete the basic service. In addition, any preventative cleaning recommendations will be carried out after approval by NOAA. Additional cleanings as needed will be based on the quote and be approved by NOAA as needed.
A. Scheduled cleaning will be arranged with the facility and consist of the following minimum work for each building as applicable.
B. Cleaning of office spaces to include at a minimum, dusting, vacuuming/mopping and trash removal. See Section 3 for which areas include carpet versus hard floors.
C. Cleaning of bathrooms to include at a minimum, cleaning of sinks and counters, cleaning of toilets and showers, mopping, trash removal, restocking of toilet paper and paper towels.
D. Mopping of Visitor Center, Conference Room, Bunkroom and Classroom will be performed on an as needed basis. No more than once a month.
2. Non-routine Service
All other service provided shall be billed at the same labor rate and all parts and materials shall be itemized for approval by NOAA before proceeding with the repair.
3. Facility Information
Currently there is the following office and bathrooms.
Visitor Center
Visitor center is a three story building. The following is a breakdown of unfurnished floor space:
1st floor ~1,000 sq.ft, 2nd floor ~1,000 sq. ft., 3rd floor 150 sq. ft. (including stairs)
a) Visitor center first floor (1,000 sq. ft.) Vinyl floor
b) 5 offices 2nd floor (Carpet)
c) Bathroom 2nd floor, 1 toilet & bathroom sink (Linoleum Floor) // No shower
d) 1 office 3rd floor & Stairs (Linoleum floor)
Conference Room Building
Conference room building is a one story building. The following is a break down of unfurnished floor space: office area ~450 sq. ft., a Community bathroom ~400 sq.ft. and conference room
~1,700 sq. ft.
a) 3 office spaces (Carpet floor)
b) Office Kitchen ~60 sq. ft. (sink and mini fridge) // (Linoleum floor)
c) Community restroom - Separate Mens (urinal and 2 stalls) and Womens (3 stalls) // No showers
d) Community center (Linoleum floor)
Classroom Building
Classroom building is a one story building. Approximately 1,300 sq.ft all concrete floor
(unfurnished space) that needs to be moped. Bathroom is ~100 sq. ft. No carpet.

d) Library room
e) Bunkroom
f) Bathroom with sink and Shower
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE
The base period for this contract for items 1 and 2 in the Scope of Work above shall be for one year from the issuance of the contract. Option periods will be for four additional years/period.
CONTRACTOR PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
The contractor must have an intimate knowledge of the county and state permits/licenses.
