About this file
This is an additional clauses document for a Motor Vehicle Inspection Signs contract opportunity with the State of Maine. The document outlines contractual terms and conditions governing the procurement, including provisions for contract extension and performance considerations. The contract may be extended beyond its initial expiration date at the discretion of the State Purchasing Director with contractor consent, with a maximum total contract period not to exceed three years. Vendor past performance may serve as a factor in the award determination process.
The document establishes pricing parameters and preference provisions applicable to the procurement. Overruns are permitted but limited to a maximum of 3% above the contracted amount. The State offers a recycled content preference for paper and paper products, allowing bids containing a minimum of 30% post-consumer recycled material that fall within 10% of the lowest compliant bid to receive up to a 10% price preference. Contractors offering recycled content materials must explicitly indicate this in their bid and disclose the specific recycled content percentage in the solicitation response comments section.
