About this file
This is a Purchase Description for Building in a Box (BiB) kits dated 29 January 2026. The requirement seeks complete M.I.C. BiB kits compatible with M.I.C. Industries' Ultimate Building Machines (UBM) for rapid construction of K-Span structures—vertical steel shelters used at CONUS and OCONUS locations. These structures serve as operational facilities for personnel and equipment or for emergency material storage. The contractor must supply, transport, deliver, and offload all materials to Camp Ravenna, 8451 State Route 5, Ravenna, OH 44266, with work commencing immediately After Receipt of Order (ARO). Specific tolerances must be met to ensure quality and durability.
The BiB kit materials listed in Appendix A include 62,500 pounds of .063 coil stock painted cream tan, structural components (base angles, pipe, threaded rod), doors and louvers (MIC 240 entry door kits, overhead doors with power operation at 110V/60Hz), fasteners (TEK screws with rubber washers), sealants (neoprene sponge, mastic tape), end wall channels, and a MIC BuildingWorks proprietary construction report with installation instructions. The contractor is responsible for all shipping costs under firm fixed pricing with FOB destination delivery, proper packaging to prevent damage during transport by land, sea, or air, and on-site repairs or replacement of damaged items. Government inspections may occur at the contractor's site or mutually agreed location before shipment, potentially taking one workday per item. The contractor must provide delivery timelines, coordinate with installation points of contact, and supply status reports in standard commercially available formats (MS Word, PDF) along with automated tracking information from shipping agencies.
