About this file
This document is Addendum #1 for a Request for Proposal (RFP) from Christina School District in Delaware for Substitute Nurse Services, designated as Contract No. CHR-25003. The solicitation seeks a vendor or vendors to provide substitute nursing staffing for the 2025-2026 school year, with an anticipated need of approximately 2-3 substitute nurses per day. The district historically used about 12 substitute nurses last year, with most requests being full-day assignments. The contract will commence after June 30, 2025, and includes potential additional one-year renewal terms, with the opportunity for multiple vendors to be awarded.
The current pricing range for substitute nurses is $205-$251.25 for a half-day and $410-$502.50 for a full-day, with the total budget still to be determined but noted to have exceeded $100,000 in previous spending. Incumbent vendors include GHR and Interim Healthcare. Potential vendors must ensure nurses are registered nurses (RN) with approved background checks and Child Protection Registry clearance. The district will evaluate bids based on qualified staffing (35%), service and quality assurance procedures (30%), demonstrated experience (25%), and cost (10%). Substitute nurses will be expected to perform full nursing duties, including medication dispensing, documentation, and potential field trip support across school locations.

Would you like us to detail this experience in the 'Summary of the vendor’s experience with students' section, even though it is outside a school setting?
