About this file

This Change Order Notice amends an existing contract between the State of Illinois and a vendor for NADIN/AWOS (Automated Weather Observation System) maintenance services. The change order extends the contract term by four months, from December 28, 2030 through April 28, 2031, and increases the contract amount to fund as-needed replacement parts required under Section 1.2.6 of the original contract. The vendor will maintain the State's non-Federal AWOS sites by utilizing Department inventory when available and procuring manufacturer-certified replacement parts as necessary to ensure FAA compliance and uninterrupted weather information services critical to aviation safety and operations.

The modification addresses the procurement and installation of replacement parts needed to sustain operational weather observation equipment at designated State sites. The funding increase supports the acquisition of manufacturer-certified components to maintain system functionality and regulatory compliance throughout the extended contract period. This amendment ensures continuity of weather data services essential for aviation operations while optimizing inventory management through the use of existing Department stock prior to external procurement.
