About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) involving specialized watertight closure (WTC) coating and repair services for the CGC THETIS vessel. The SOW specifies repair and fluidized bed coating requirements for three specific watertight doors/hatches, with Automatic Coating Limited U.S.A identified as the sole qualified vendor due to their patented Tidal Coat fluidized bed coating system. The USCG will deliver designated watertight closures to the contractor's facility by approximately December 20, 2025, with all work to be completed by January 30, 2026.
The associated federal contract opportunity is a Special Notice of Intent to Award, issued by the USCG Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) in Norfolk, seeking to award an order for OEM WTC Coating and Repairs directly to Automatic Coating Limited. The notice invites other potential vendors to demonstrate equivalent capabilities, requesting detailed company information including CAGE code, UEI number, business size, and technical qualifications. While the government does not intend to award a contract based on responses, interested parties are encouraged to provide comprehensive information about their ability to meet the specified coating and repair services outlined in the Statement of Work.
